Full Question:
For change in working capital, you use the change in operating expenses. Normally, and what I’ve been taught, is that you use current assets minus current liabilities. Can you explain to me why you would use the change in operating expenses?

Re: WACC : Historical Beta Values
Q1> When I am picking competitors to calculate average of beta values, what are the evaluation criteria one should keep in mind while picking competitors? Which ones to pick and which ones to not pick?
Q2> Why don't we include the target company itself in calculating the average beta value?

Complex Trading: Options schedule in K vs bloomberg
Hi, 1. I understand using bookvalue for debt as opposed to market value because they're very similar, but is this the same case for options? (I have never used a Bloomberg so I don't know whether bloomberg provides options schedule) Why do we use 10-K if we want the most up-to-date info? How ... Read More

Fernandez from IESE business school in 2007 in a paper mentioned some formulae for levering/unlevering beta Fernández (2006): • If the debt is expected to be proportional to the book value of equity, the correct relationship between the levered beta (ßL) and the unlevered beta (ßu) is: ßL = Ã... At the moment, if I want to count everything in Q3 and Q4 2011, I use the formula =COUNTIFS($A:$A,"<=40908",$A:$A,">40724")
I would like to refer to a cell rather than use the numeric date value. However, each time I replace the date number with a cell reference, it does not return the correct number.
1. How do I accomplish using a reference with this inequality
2. Am I using the most efficient method to count how many entries occur between a set of dates?
Thank you. Read More
