Could you please provide a few more details on how your current implementation is set up (for non-GLOBAL situations)? This would help a bit more in adjusting what you already have. For example, perhaps you're using LEFT and FIND to isolate the hyphen, etc.

I actually found an easy work around. I created 2 columns of switches based off of the result of the drop downs. If('drop_down_segment'="All Businesses","All Businesses",'segment_from_data') and If('drop_down_region'="Global","Global",'region_from_data'). Based on the result of that switch, I used =... Based on the result of that switch, I used =SUMPRODUCT(--('criteria_range_segment'='drop_down-segment'),--('criteria_range_region'='drop_down_region',...).
