Throughout school and Wall ST Training courses I have always learned to construct fully diluted shares outstanding by looking at a table of options that presents several strike prices and several corresponding share amounts for a given year. However, in practice I rarely see stock tables in 10Ks presented in this fashion. Usually they are presented with just one weighted avg. strike price and total amount of exercisable shares (with no itemized table in the form i described)...Am I missing something or looking in the wrong place? Can I just arrive at fully diluted shares outstanding by using just the provided weighted avg. strike price and total exercisable share amount? I have a screen shot of a typical options table that I could provide...but for example look at a Nike 10K or Waste Management 10k if needed. Thanks.
