Difference between cost of sales and cost of inventory.
- This is a company in Hong Kong. In the P&L, the "cost of sales" is higher than the "cost of inventories sold" in the note from financial statement. The note talks about each expenses (ie staff cost, rent, dep etc) have been charged to arrive the operating profit. Just wonder why those two numbers...
- This is a company in Hong Kong. In the P&L, the "cost of sales" is higher than the "cost of inventories sold" in the note from financial statement. The note talks about each expenses (ie staff cost, rent, dep etc) have been charged to arrive the operating profit. Just wonder why those two numbers are different. FYI, there has been some provision for slow moving inventories, but the amount is not comparable to the difference between cost of sales and cost of inventory sold. If you can share your view? thanks
