In your complex LBO course, while building the Debt Sweep we included the mandatory payments of the existing debt of the company (i.e $459m for 2005 $21m for 2006 and so on). However those nukmjbers where hard coded. At the time of building th model the instructor said to leave them balck instead of blue. My guess was that we should come back at some point and make this a formula linked to the refinancing all existing debt switch, which never happened. As a result if you choose to refinance all exising debt you get 0 for begining balance while you still have hard coded numbers as mandatory repayments. I would appreciate if you could post the correct formula to fix that error. My guess would be an "if" formula linking cell AC3 from the LBO summary tab. Read More
